The Train of Thought Lounge: Rise and Fire!

So, I forgot to post a new installment of The ToT Lounge on Friday because I was busy drinking all day and watching the NCAA Tournament. My bad!

Unfortunately, my beloved Terps were bounced by Memphis, although I was very proud of Maryland's efforts in upsetting Cal in the first round. Who ever thought that Gary Williams' job was in jeopardy? Oh that's right... everyone did.

Even though I'm very late with this, today's lounge will honor my favorite announcer in the world, Gus Johnson. Two years ago, the excitable wordsmith and Howard alumnus (Bison!! YOU KNOW!!) blessed the world with some of his most unforgettable calls. So let's relive the magic! After all, it's all that will keep me going until the games pick back up on Thursday.

  1. "The Train of Drought"

What a waste of a website. Is this how you represent politics? This isn't a sports site.

How would you like it if I were to take this post (at random like you do, of course) and post it on my website and then say that you are a "crazy leftist sports site"??

Doesn't feel so good does it?

And why only cover elitist NCAA Ball? In all seriousness, if Obama was not such a big "bball" fan, would your site even cover it??

What are exactly are your "guidelines" for a subject to make it on the site?? Have to be somehow tangentially related to Barack Obama's interests??

  2. Be careful around these guys. J.N. actually advocates killing everyone in the Bush administration.

I guess, as DCJonesy intimates, maybe it's just the booze talking. Let's hope so.

More eye openers coming your way.

  3. I'm looking foward to further use of the "HERE COMES THE PAIN" Tag.

  4. My God-this J.N. blogger just keeps getting worse. You've got to stop him/it/her before it's too late. Now I read that it wants our past government officials locked up in a concentration-style prison because they didn't hold the same political beliefs as it does.

  5. Anyone shocked that there are no true Cinderellas left in the tourney? Where is the glory of the American Underdog?

  6. Has there ever been a "DO YOU LIKE TRAINS?" tag? If not there should be at some point in the near future.

  7. News Flash-

    JJ really is Jesse Jackson.

Which I imagine explains his predisposition with and comment about pain. He really should have thought about pain when he was threatening to cut puppet prez's nuts off.

Found-another Google Blogger uses Bill Ayers quotes, evidently to increase readership. Example:

“Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home, kill your parents.”-Bill Ayers

  8. Just in case you missed it, from your very own J.N.:

"obama? yeah he seems like a nice guy but honestly he's also a marxist anti-american radical who wants to feed iraq to the iranians."

  10. this shit is getting really hilarious... to anonymous numero uno - the "guidelines" of what is an acceptable subject for this blog is right in the top corner of every page: Politics, Sports, & Music. or just whatever i feel like, whenever i feel like, but now you're better informed. as for the "Train of Drought" dig, what are you, some kind of villain from the 1960's Batman tv show?

I can't wait to see the comments tomorrow after I review MF DOOM's newest album.

  11. Can't wait shit-for-brains. Especially if you'll be "sporting a high-top fade, leather jacket and spandex pants" again.

Your reviews are worthless although the comments are getting better.

  14. Another eye-opener. served extra hot. from the dark recesses of naught Train. This site covers hockey (http://www.thetrainofthought.com/2009/02/caps-make-it-hurt-so-good.html). Guess who else loves hockey. You guessed it: Commies. Maybe this site should be colored red instead of black. Huh Vladimir J. Jackson.

  15. My god, the list of violent comments on this blog site just keeps getting longer and longer. These drain bed trains seem to be nothing but thugs.

Here's another from good ole blogger JJ:

Speaking of Emanuel and Axelrod, JJ suggests that they should be shot.

  16. I'm glad that some of our anonymous commenters are taking the time to read some of the quality old posts on here, but don't you see the irony in the fact that by reading all of the old posts and drawing attention to them again you're only facilitating the spread of these ideas that you find so offensive?

    Just a thought.

    ReplyDelete
  17. D-there ya go-at least one step up from anonymous.

    You call this crap quality?!

Jonesy here apologizes for being so wasted it couldn't write the 2 lines and paste a YouTube video.

Yes Sir, pure quality. Pure violence. Pure racism. Pure crap. You're right, it will probably spread. Disease seems to do that.

  18. seems to have infected this site in the last 24 hours. apparently talking about racistnet is like opening Pandora's box.

    ReplyDelete
  19. This piece of crap site has been infected for a lot longer then 24 hours. It seems to have been a gathering point for a few idiots for a couple of years.

    ReplyDelete
  20. and now many more seem to have emigrated from their own "idiocratic" domain to join them in arguing over who is the stupider. especially those of us who post anonymously like this being too scared to let anyone know who we are because in reality we are afraid of real confrontation or 13 or both.

    ReplyDelete
  21. What?! I think I've only seen one person on here using their real name-if it is their real name.

Hell, me and Jonesy are just here for the beer.

Anonymous just makes it more fun, and there really are some nuts out there that I wouldn't particularly like knowing my name.

These bloggers are simply misguided. Taught to hate America, and carrying on what teachers like LSouth have no doubt taught them. I believe they are dangerous to our country, but I don't physically fear them.

For some reason, unknown to me, one of them decided he needed to take a swipe at a whole group of people. Evidently he or she ran out of thoughts on this train of theirs.

  22. Come gather 'round people
    Wherever you roam
    And admit that the waters
    Around you have grown
    And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
    If your time to you
    Is worth savin'
    Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come writers and critics
    Who prophesize with your pen
    And keep your eyes wide
    The chance won't come again
    And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
    And there's no tellin' who
    That it's namin'.
    For the loser now
    Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come senators, congressmen
    Please heed the call
    Don't stand in the doorway
    Don't block up the hall
    For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
    There's a battle outside
    And it is ragin'.
    It'll soon shake your windows
    And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

    Come mothers and fathers
    Throughout the land
    And don't criticize
    What you can't understand
    Your sons and your daughters
    Are beyond your command
    Your old road is
    Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

    The line it is drawn
    The curse it is cast
    The slow one now
    Will later be fast
    As the present now
    Will later be past
    The order is
    Rapidly fadin'.
    And the first one now
    Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

  23. Wow, you must have spent hours copying that! I'm impressed.

  24. Wow, yeah, I might be teaching your kid to "hate america."

All of those complicated equations and concepts invented by non-Americans might cause a radical revolution (no pun intended, I am a math guy after all).

And I guess all algebra should be banned because Al-Khwarizmi was Muslim or something like that. Throw in your random curse words, shantytown sentences, and fight between liberty and slavery. It's what everyone is expecting by now.

    ReplyDelete
  25. L"pretty sure"South-You are the most dangerous of all these turds. You're actually in a position of trust. What's really sick is I, most likely, pay your wages. But, no, you're not teaching my kids.

Everyone visiting this site was getting far more then random curse words long before we showed up. I'm pretty sure you just don't remember.

Why the slur about people that have less then you? Just can't resist? Oh yes, the educated elite versus the poor and downtrodden.

Fight between liberty and slavery. There, now I've written that, too. So what's your point?

    ReplyDelete
  26. the end times are coming! soon we must choose between Satan and Salvation. Liberty and Misery. Morality and Animality...But who will bring the tupperware?
