The Train of Thought Lounge: 2 for 1 Saturday!

Welcome all to the latest installment of The Train of Thought Lounge. Today we feature the newest singles from two of my absolute favorite bands in the world. First up is the new Weezer song, "Pork and Beans," off the upcoming Red Album which is slated for a June release.

  1. Just going to point out that it wasn't until this last month that I knew that either of these albums being released this in the near future, and I'm as big a fan of either of these guys as you can get. I hope whoever did their promotion got put in charge of fergie's next album - or someone else whose music is worthy of such a crappily done job.

  2. in all honesty, i think the labels try to do that now to keep bootlegging and piracy down. i'm pretty sure you can already get the weezer album though, so it's not like it's even that effective.

  3. Normally, I'm on top of these things, especially with Weezer, but I guess I haven't had as many late nights surfing the Internet recently as in the past. I was completely out of the loop on the Weezer album until right now, I can't wait for it to drop.

  4. suprisingly, the way i found out about the new weezer was when i heard DC 101 play it last week and they called it "the new weezer single." its been quite a while since i found out about exclusive music through the radio.

  5. Huh, new weezer doesn't sound too bad. Wonder if they'll release it for rockband, like a bunch of bands have been threatening to do with new singles (I say threatening because one of the bands was metallica. There isn't enough vomit in the world to properly cleanse ones system of metallica).

  6. Yeah, actually being cool with listening to the radio is a strange feeling, but recent dc 101 has changed that. It hasn't reached the feel of listening to celo, shades of 2002, but that 80s weekend was getting there.

And new weezer on rockband would be sweet. They seem down with the game - and there are still those rumors of releasing the entire blue album for it, so who knows?
