It's worth noting that Alaska has a Department of Law, though apparently they haven't been much of a help in "throwing out" any of the scandals that plague her today.
ReplyDeleteBut that actually makes it worse. Apparently she was really thinking that the US government would be exactly like the Alaskan, truly failing to realize that they weren't exactly he same.
Also... in what weird world do federal executives receive less scrutiny than state executives? Cheney obviously got away with a ton of shit, but only because he was a brilliant obfuscator backed up by a legion of brilliant lawyers who told him precisely how to act. Say what you will about how terrible she is, Palin couldn't have pulled that off in a million years.
